Necrosphinx Painting video

Here's the finished video for the Necrosphinx that I showed earlier.

To go along with the table I'm building I've made some jungle bases. I saw some plastic shrubs in the dollar store, and I had some of the GW Jungle Trees (two packs worth), so I figured I'd make two bases worth. I initially thought I'd split the trees and shrubs half and half, but once I was wrapping up the project I decided to put the shrubs on one stand and the trees on another.

The jungle trees have magnets on them so I can take them off.

Finished Warp Lightening Cannon

I had a productive weekend and managed to finish this, among other things. Here's some pics of the new Skaven warp lightening cannon I just completed.

Modular table wip update

Here's a couple more pics of the modular table I'm working on. I've got it all textured (with coffee grinds) and once that's dry I'll start painting it.

I've been talking about this project for a while with the guys from MWG... I really like the GW Realm of Battle modular table, but there's no way I would want to pay $350 for it. So, the solution is that I've challenged myself to make a 6x4 modular table for under $50. I'm convinced I can do it, and here are some work in progress shots. I'll be making a video of the steps once I'm done along with a list of materials.

More Necrosphinx wip pics

Here's a couple more. I'm basically done the patina finish, unless I change my mind on it. I basically did a reverse highlight with the aqua colours (lightest in the deepest areas). Next I'm drybrushing Scorched brown then finally gold.

Here's a couple pics of the Necrosphinx that I'm working on. I'm doing a patina sort of finish instead of the marble that GW did. Hopefully it turns out well.

Magnetizng the Warsphinx/Necrosphinx (video)

Tomb Kings Warsphinx/Necrosphinx kit

Here's a few pics of the new Tomb Kings monster kit. I'm assembling and magnetizing it for a video that I'll be putting out soon. Luckly the kit uses almost no parts twice for the different builds, so magnetizing is relatively straight forward. There are a couple tricks that I'll explain in the video.

This will probably be my last wip post before these guys are done. I'm basically just doing final details on Badrukk.

Orc and Goblin Rock Lobba

Here's another video version of a painting tutorial, this time for a Rock Lobba. I mounted it on a movement tray (80x100 I think) to make it look nicer.

Ork Freebooterz wip

Here's some pics of the freebooterz I'm working on. I've picked up some pirate heads from maxmini via ebay and put them on fantasy orc boyz bodies. I used some old 2nd edition kustom shootas (metal) that I had in my bitz box as well as a couple ogryn ripper guns for their snazz guns. As well, I've got Badrukk in there, some powder grotz and a painboy.
