I've got some 40k and fantasy stuff that I've been meaning to paint as well as my modular table, craters and jungle scenery. Not pictured is the crashed aquilla that I have primed.
A blog mostly about Warhammer 40,000 and Fantasy with a focus on painting and tutorials.
40k terrain wip
Here's a couple pics of stuff I'm working on for a game I'm planning on having this weekend with my brother. We used to play 40k back in 1st and 2nd edition then took some time off before coming back to it. Should be fun, and hopefully it doesn't lead to any fights.

Santa Cruz Hono(u)r roll- Sanguinar
In reviewing my hit stats I saw a spike of refferals from Santa Cruz Warhammer, so I thought I'd check it out. Well, it turns out my Sanguinar WIP grabbed their attention and earned me a spot on the Honor Roll (I'm honoured :)
Here's a link to the honor roll:

Review: Citadel Cleanup kit
Another review of a new tool kit from Gamesworkshop. I filmed this a week ago, and since then have really been enjoying using the mold removal tool. So, the jist of the review is that the mold removal tool is useful, the brush not so much.
Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Ogre Ironguts Painting Tutorial
Here's the video of my first Ogre unit. I'm going to use this paint scheme for the rest of the army, probably with a little variation. I was a bit concerned with the flesh, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out (had to do some final blending as explained in the video). Let me know what you think, and suggest which unit you'd like to see next.

The Sanguinar WIP
Here's a couple pics of The Sanguinar, Blood Angels special character done in Non Metallic Metal. I decided to do this guy because of the 'Eavy Metal painting guide that just came out. I had the old White Dwarf that the article originally ran in (#363), and most of the other articles so I might do a review by proxy... or I might buy it... still undecided.
Anyway, I'm basically following the article, but using Reaper paints instead of GW ones. Less mixing that way, and that makes for easier painting.
Colours used so far are (reaper unless otherwise specified):
Oiled Leather (base)
Palimino Gold (1st highlight)
Ruddy Leather (1st shade)
Devlin Mud (GW Wash, 2nd shade glaze)
Badab Black (GW Wash, 3rd shade glaze)
Still to come:
Buckskin pale (2nd highlight)
Pure White (final highlight)
Plus all the other areas...
Here's what I have done so far (more pics after the break).

Dreadfleet: Black Kraken
Review: Citadel Emery Boards
Another review, this time of the Citadel Emery boards.
Summary: Not necessary, but not that expensive. Handy size, but you can get something cheaper if you want.
Video after the break.

Eavy Metal Brush Set Review
Here's a review of the new 'Eavy Metal paint brush set. Its a limited release just in time for Christmas with two 'Eavy Metal branded brushes, two pots of matte medium, a metal case and a small booklet. I picked one up today and here's an unboxing and brief review. Leave a comment below if you have any questions, comments or perhaps your own review. Video below.

Witchfate Tor WIP
Here's a couple shots of me assembling the Witchfate Tor. What's interesting about this is the base is the exact same as the dreadstone blight and it even comes with some ruined sections. So what I did to extend the kit a little further was buy another base off of ebay and now I'm going to have two pieces of scenery instead of one.
The other thing to note about this is that it doesn't come on a sprue, and things don't fit together the greatest.

Necron Light Conversion
Here's a project I did back in 2002 or whenever the first plastic necron warriors came out. GW was doing a painting contest and I thought I could step it up a notch and add a light to the model to help win. Well, the light worked at home, but when it came time to judge it was no longer working (I wasn't there when that happened). Anyway, I found some old pictures I took at the time added some more and made this video.
