Storm Raven Work in Progress

Now that I'm done the Grey Knights I'm working on my Blood Angels Storm Raven. I had a chance to get my airbrush out Saturday and get the base coat laid down. I'm working on the rest of the details now. Here's what I've got done so far.

Magnetizing the Storm Raven

Here's a couple pictures of how I've magnetized the guns on the turret of the storm raven. I also modified the hurricane bolters to go on the doors, but I'll show that later.

Storm Raven (construction complete)

I've finished up the first of two storm ravens and now need to give it a suitable paint job. I decided to equip this one with lascannons and heavy bolters, but I think the next one will have assault cannons and something else... not sure what yet. I've given it a quick red spray, but I'll have to give it a good paint job with my airbrush and finish up all the details before this guy is complete. I might do the next one in death company colours... we'll have to see how this one turns out.

Storm Raven WIP

Ok, so I'm working on my Storm Raven(s) now. Well, just one for the time being, but the second one should be pretty quick. I'm not doing too much conversion on my G.I. Joe movie toy... just trying to make it look like its 28mm scale and has the right weapons. Here are some pics so far...

Storm Raven

I need some feedback from my readers... I'm thinking of making a couple Storm Ravens for my Blood Angels out of the Cobra Gunship from the G.I. Joe movie. I saw them a while back, but balked at the $30 CDN price tag... well, today they $10 on clearance at Walmart, so I picked up 2. I would probably use GW bits for all the weapons and order a couple flying bases to stick them on... but no really major conversions. What do you think? Should I do it, or should I take them back and wait until GW releases something official?
