Well, bidding has jumped to $405, so that's a good sign.  Here's some pictures of the models in the KR multicases that are included.

Space Wolves listed on ebay

Here's the link to my Space Wolves army that's posted on ebay.

Right now you'll get an amazing deal at $0.99 + shipping, but I hope that won't last. This is the army that I painted in all of the tutorials posted here, minus Njal the Stormcaller, because he's known as Bob now and lives at Miniwargaming.

Check it out, place a bid and feel free to ask some questions.  Here's some pictures of the army.

How to Paint the Stormwolf

Here's the finished Stormwolf... finally.  I started this guy back in the summer, and just haven't had time to get back to my painting table.  For a large vehicle like this I like to use an airbrush, but for that to happen I need a chunk of time all at once, so that was a bit tricky to arrange.

The basic technique is this:
Airbrush the large surfaces
Add detail colours
*Highlight details (should have done this but did it later)
Spray with Future floor polish (Arcylic gloss)
Shade with thinned artist oils
Wait ~24 hours and wipe off as much of the oils as possible
Finish with dull coat spray.

I'm really happy with how the oils turned out.  For large vehicles I'd say that this is the way to go.  For minimal effort you really end up with a nice looking finish and the process is very forgiving.  If you end up with too much you can wipe it off with a q-tip and a bit of mineral spirits.  Not enough and you can do it again.

Oh, and yes I did drill out the multi-melta barrels after the comments from the previous post.

WIP Stormwolf and Ork warbosses

Here's a couple pics of things on my desk right now.  I haven't had much time lately to paint, so these have been moving slowly.

The Stormwolf was airbrushed, then the rest of the base colours added before a coat of acrylic gloss (Future floor polish) and then some oil washes.  After the oil had a day to dry I wiped most of it off leaving the shadows intact and gave it a matte spray.  I'll touch up some of the colours and then it'll be done.

**Update, the barrels on the multi-meltas are drilled**

The warbosses were given a silver base coat (army painter) then washes.  I'm adding base colours now and will shade and highlight those later.

Spacewoff Stormwolf/Stormfang Unboxing and Assembly videos

Here's a look at the new Spacewolf flyer... its a pretty cool transport, but I'm not sure I'm sold on the whole frost cannon thing.  I'm going to paint it up to go with my bloodclaws to replace the land raider that I had been using (ineffectively) for them.

Its a decent looking kit, but most of the space wolf icons are built into it, so if you wanted to use it for something else it would take a bit of work.  The second video shows how I assembled it for painting.

Space Wolf Standard Finished

Here's my Space Wolf Grey Hunter Wolf Standard all done.  I used all new GW paints, mostly in the triad form (base, layer, layer) with a shade, but some areas were mixed up a little to get different tones.  I basically followed the painting guide from the White dwarf, but the naming of the paints makes it pretty obvious.

Wolf Standard WIP 2

I've made a bit more progress on this guy... a little delayed because I'm getting geared up to work on my Dark Eldar.  I spent most of last night airbrushing the vehicles with the new GW paints.

But back to this guy... he's getting near completion as all the big areas are done and its just a mater of finishing off the pelts and smaller details.

Wolf Standard WIP

Here's my current painting project, the Grey Hunter Wolf Standard that just came out in finecast.  I'm using all the new paints again, so it'll be interesting to see how the armour compares to the rest of my army.

In other news, my dark eldar army is getting ready to be painted.  I've been accululating different kits, and I'm not at the point where I can put together a decent army, so I'm getting motivated to paint it.   I'd like to do an alternate paint scheme, but I can't decide so I may end up going with the one from the 2012 How to Paint Citadel Miniatures book.

Finished Space Wolf Fenrisian Wolves

Got these guys finished up the other day... was a quick paint job thanks to using my airbrush for the base colours.

Fenrisian Wolves WIP 2

Here's some more work in progress pics of the Fenrisian wolves I'm working on.  The last post showed what they looked like while I was airbrushing them, here's the finishing touches on the paint bench.  I did some bleach bone drybrushing on the legs, a gryphonne sepia wash all over (thinned down), did a devlin mud wash on the upper back and painted their teeth.  Then I added some texture on the base with superglue, slate and sand.  All I have left is painting the base and adding some snow (probably the same look as I did with the thundertusk).

Fenresian Wolves WIP

Here's some pics of the new Fenresian wolves I'm working on.  I have 2 boxes of these guys to paint up so I'm using my airbrush.  I gave them a base coat of brown spray paint and layered the light colours on the legs then did a black stripe along the spine.  I'm planning on giving them a dark brown wash to bring out some of the texture, but I may have to redo some of the colours to help them match the rest of my wolves.

Thunderwolf Calvary part 2 (finished)

Here's the second and final part for the Thunderwolf Cavalry painting tutorial.  These guys paint up fairly fast and are fun models.  Can't wait to see them on the table top.

Fenrisian Wolves Assembled

Here's some pics of the new Fenrisian Wolves all assembled.  They go together nicely in 4 pieces.  The bodies are labeled and it appears the heads are interchangeable.  Nice poses and texture, so they should paint up nicely.  They will also go well with my converted dire wolves and on the table top you won't be able to tell the difference (much).

Thunderwolves Painting Part 1

In this post I'm showing how to paint the giant wolves with some live action video and commentary.  I'm using Scorched brown, Bestial brown, Snakebite leater, Vermin brown and bleached bone in progressive layers of dry-brushing/over-brushing/stippling.  The second video will be painting the space wolf marines on their backs.

More Thunderwolf pics

Here's a couple more pics of the thunderwolves before I paint them.  I put some gel medium on the bases to help give some shape once I add snow to them.  These guys are primed now and will be painted up next.

Thunderwolf Assembly

Here's some pictures of the new Thunderwolf Calvary models I just assembled.  I didn't know exactly what loadout to use, so I'm going with 1 plain, 1 with melta bombs, and 1 with thunderhammer.  That should total 185 pts and have full wound allocation.

The models are good looking in person and assemble well.  The different wolves are marked and there's a couple options for the robotic legs and one extra head.  The riders come with lots of options and I'm pretty happy with the bits.

Canis Wolfborn painting video

I decided to pull this out of the archives and put together a commentary video since the new plastic thunderwolves are coming out.  I've got mine on preorder from miniwargaming.com and should be getting them in a week.  In the mean time, here's some pics and a video of Canis Wolfborn.... who might actually see the table top (perhaps as someone other than himself).

Space Wolves Lists revisted

Well, now that there's a new batch of Space Wolves coming out I'm going to start revisiting the list I have painted up. I've ordered a set of thunderwolves from store.miniwargaming.com (sale on now) as well as the finecast banner guy.

Orks v. Space Wolves

Here's some pictures of my Kan Wall versus my brother's Space wolves in a battle we had over Christmas. We're playing in my parent's basement, where it all started with 1st edition.  We used my modular table (from previous posts) and some other scenery I've painted up.  Fun game, nice to try out my kan wall, and it was successful.

How to Paint Space Wolves Njal

Here's bob from the miniwargaming.com's reject series. I painted him up a while ago (obviously if you've seen him in the rejects), but never got around to making a video.
