Here's the finished Stormwolf... finally. I started this guy back in the summer, and just haven't had time to get back to my painting table. For a large vehicle like this I like to use an airbrush, but for that to happen I need a chunk of time all at once, so that was a bit tricky to arrange.
The basic technique is this:
Airbrush the large surfaces
Add detail colours
*Highlight details (should have done this but did it later)
Spray with Future floor polish (Arcylic gloss)
Shade with thinned artist oils
Wait ~24 hours and wipe off as much of the oils as possible
Finish with dull coat spray.
I'm really happy with how the oils turned out. For large vehicles I'd say that this is the way to go. For minimal effort you really end up with a nice looking finish and the process is very forgiving. If you end up with too much you can wipe it off with a q-tip and a bit of mineral spirits. Not enough and you can do it again.
Oh, and yes I did drill out the multi-melta barrels after the comments from the previous post.

Ultramarine Stormtalon Gunships Finished (plus tutorial)
Here's a pair of Stormtalon gunships that I painted up over the holidays. I airbrushed the base colours and finished off with some weathering powders. Cool looking kits, and I think they will work well in pairs. As usual, the paint guide is at the bottom below the video and pics.
Completed Razorwing flyer
Here's my latest Dark Eldar completion. I've got lots of stuff in the pipeline, but I thought with all the flyer talk I'd finish this guy off. I'm thinking its missing something, but I'll address that once I get a good chunk of the army finished and decide whether or not I do a free hand design.
Ork Burna-Bommer Finished
Here's the finished Burna-Bommer I started along with the Dakkajet. I basically followed the white dwarf painting guide and ended up with a decent looking flyer. I'm not sure if I like how clean it looks, so I may go back and touch it up with some weathering powders. Otherwise, I can't wait to see this guy on the table top.
Ork Burna Bommer WIP
Here are some pictures of the Burna bommer I've been working on. I basically followed the painting guide in the White Dwarf and am pretty happy with the results... might need some weathering powders when I'm done though.
Dakkajet Kitbash Painted
Here is the second video showing how I painted this project. I went with a pretty traditional black look with checker patterns. My burna bommer will be red and I'll do a video for it as well.
Dakkajet Conversion Finished
All done and painted. Here are some of the finished pics as well as a video tutorial on how I got there. Feel free to post questions in the comments and I will address them here.
Ork Bommer Assembly
Here's the follow up to the unboxing where I show how the assembly goes for the new Ork flyer. I also show the 1:48 scale model I plan on using to make a second flyer with all the extra bits.
Ork bommer unboxing
Here's an unboxing video of he new ork flyer kit. Its a really fun looking kitthat I can imagine getting a few of. I also plan on using the extra bits to make another flyer from a 1:48 scale corsair.
Stormtalon Assault Cannon Conversion
Here's some pics of the new Stromtalon I just assembled... and converted the assault cannon from the one it came with to the Ravenwing one. The one it comes with is the same size as the landraider and baal predator one, but I think the landspeeder size is better (they are both skimmers, right?). I'll do a video explaining it soon, but for now here are some pics. This is just to show its possible and fairly easy.
Ork Bommer - New Flyers
Looks like pics from the new white dwarf are hitting the intertubes... found these at dakkadakka, warseer and Faeit 212, so not quite sure where the originated. I don't collect Necrons, so I don't really care for that one... but I do have marine and ork armies. It sounds like the stormtalon is only for vanilla marines, so I'm not sure if it affects me, but the pictures don't do it justice. I felt the same way about the stormraven, so I'm hoping it looks better in person.
As for the Ork ones... I love them, and will be picking one up for sure. The one thing though, is that they seem to be totally anti-infantry. Orks really lack some serious anti-tank options in the list and I don't think these fill that hole. The other concern is how these fit into the list... are they fast attack, elite or heavy support? Do they come in squadrons? Can I combine them with deff koptas (I hope so). I guess we'll see when I get my hands on the new white dwarf.

Apocalypse game Cont'd
Here's a couple more pictures I took at Saturday's Apocalypse game. The general scenario was 10,000 points a side, with 2,000 being separated in a city scenario. On the ork side we had over 300 ork boyz, 2 stompas, 5 battle wagons, 2 looted wagons, 7 trukks, a Skullhamma, 15 deff koptas, some nobs, storm boyz, kommandos and lots of special charactors. I can't give away too many details, as that will be saved for the video series at miniwargaming.com
