Scratch built Big Shoota conversion
Here's a couple pictures from a tutorial I wrote for miniwargaming.com. Basically just some plastic tubing that I picked up at my local hobby shop, some holes and some bits from the bitz box. Now I just need to make a pile of these so I have a whole squad of Deff Koptas with twin linked big shootas.

Armies on Parade
Gamesworkshop hosted an "armies on parade" competition this past Saturday. They announced that there would be prizes to be won, so I rounded up my orks and gave it a go. I managed to get a narrow victory over a nice looking beastmen army netting a $50 gift certificate in the process.

I made up the board specifically for this. Its some left over wood from shelves I made with 4 coats of magnetic paint. All the models have magnets on their bases, so it makes for easier transportation (and quicker setup of the display).
