Here's a guide and painting tutorial for the Skaven Plague Claw Catapult. I started this over Christmas after having an itch to paint some Skaven. I meant to paint up a blob of 40 Stormvermin, but I needed to do the Screaming Bell, so I figured that I'd paint this at the same time. Well, after all that, this got finished first, the bell is 80% done, and the Stormvermin are assembled and spray painted. Hopefully I get to them soon.
Anyway, here's a painting guide and video commentary of how I painted up this beast.
A blog mostly about Warhammer 40,000 and Fantasy with a focus on painting and tutorials.

How to Paint Red power armour DVD trailer
As promised, here is the info about the how-to video I did for miniwargaming.com. The Dvd contains two full videos (edited for length) of me painting red power armour up close in great detail. Anyway, check out the trailer below, or follow the link for more info. They are running a promotion where you can get the videos for free if you sign up for a free trial of their video vault. The other option is to buy the dvd for $20 plus $6 shipping (world wide). Full details can be found here.

Kador Plastic Warjack
Here's a couple more pictures of the warjack I painted up for miniwargaming.com's upcoming red power armour video. This was my first Warmachine model to paint up, and it was fairly fun. I kept it pretty simple, just red and metal colours. I used GW tinbitz and chainmail for the paint chips, and reaper paints for the red areas. This guy took about 2 hours to paint start to finish (not including drying time for washes).
As far as the plastic nature of this kit... To me it seems much more like resin than plastic, especially since there's no sprue included. The parts clean up kind of like plastic, and are definitely better to work with than metal. I magnetized the arms with 1/8 by 1/16 magnets and the head with 1/16 by 1/16 magnets.

Painting tutorial - Red power armour
Here's a couple pics from an upcoming painting video I shot for miniwargaming.com. The videos will show, from start to finish, how to paint red power armour. There will be two videos, one of a blood angels space marine and the other of a Kador warjack. I'll post more details about the videos once they have been edited.
The warjack is one of the new plastic ones, and was my first warmachine model to assemble and paint. I magnetized it up before painting (which was easy with 1/8" magnets for the arms and 1/16" for the head). There was a bit of extra flash from the multi part moulding process that they use, but nothing that bad.
