Badmoon Shoota Boyz

Below you'll see some badmoons that I've had on my to-do list for quite some time.  I picked up the gas mas heads back in 2010 (link to the store below), and have been waiting to do these guys and the trukk for some time.

The Nob has a Black Orc head that has been modified to look like a gas mask, and the big shoota boy has a burna boy head.  The gas mask heads came in a pack of 10, so I needed to makeup two more to finish out the 12 boy mob.

The techniques were similar to the Badmoon trukk I did a few weeks ago, except without the weathering powders.  Fun guys to paint and a mob of 12 is small enough to be enjoyable.

Scratch built Big Shoota conversion

Here's a couple pictures from a tutorial I wrote for miniwargaming.com. Basically just some plastic tubing that I picked up at my local hobby shop, some holes and some bits from the bitz box. Now I just need to make a pile of these so I have a whole squad of Deff Koptas with twin linked big shootas.

Artificer Cup part 2

Well, good news and bad news from the local painting competition. Good news is that the Skullhamma won the open catagory. Bad news is that I wasn't able to get to the gamesworkshop in time to see everybody else's entries. Apparently they had a table full of models and it was hotly contested. That was good news, as nobody wants to win by default. Anyway, my prize was a Kaptin Badrukk blister, which I unfortunately already have. I'll have to try to trade it with someone else out there.

Here's a couple pictures of the twin linked big shootas I finished before I entered the competition. Now that I've figured out an easy way to make these I'm going to have to make up a bunch of deffkoptas with them.
